Harriet Cross MP had the opportunity to raise questions to the CEO of GB Energy this week in the Scottish Affairs Select Committee. Parliament and the public were told that GB Energy would create thousands of new jobs, supporting the oil and gas industry, yet, this time next year, which will be 2.5 years after Labour won the 2024 general election the CEO of GB Energy announced that only 100 jobs will be created for the North East. This is a total abandonment of the North East oil and gas industry.
