This week, Harriet Cross MP and Andrew Bowie MP wrote to the Prime Minister regarding the Energy Profits Levy. On Tuesday 4th December, the Prime Minister was clipped on STV and BBC News saying the Energy Profits Levy was a 'tax on excessive profits'. This simply is not true, and incredibly worrying not only for the thousands of families across the North East, but also for the oil and gas businesses and investors who will see this comment by the Prime Minister displaying his utter incompetence.
